ABOUT

AS A CHILD, I WAS OBSESSED WITH DINOSAURS. I had dinosaur computer games, a dinosaur bedspread, and more dinosaur books than a museum gift shop. It was within these books I first became enamored with the concepts of illustration and graphic design, building stories in my mind to accompany the artworks of these breathtaking creatures brought to life even before I knew how to read the surrounding text.
As I grew and developed my talent as an artist, illustration and design became the media through which I transformed the subjects of my imagination into tangible creations. Although now I am grown and my interests expanded (somewhat), the child-like wonder provided by paleo-artists and illustrators like Dmitry Bogdanov, Luis V. Rey, and James Gurney remain a primary source of inspiration for me as I craft my own compositions. My dream is that over the course of my career—by constantly challenging myself to grow, openly sharing my creations, and creating work that inspires others—I might invoke that same sense of awe in the next generation of creators.
